Body Time vs. Mechanical Time allows a user to investigate two different perspectives of time. This interactive narrative is based of an excerpt from Alan Lightman’s book Einstein’s Dreams. This particular story (or dream) looked at time as being viewed through two perspectives of body time and mechanical time. Body time is about needs and desires of the body and makes its own mind up as it goes along. Mechanical time is scheduled and precise, like the constant movement of a pendulum.

To move through the story, you simply need to scroll left or right and select body time or mechanical time by sliding those words left or right. This project looks at story structures in interactive spaces where the interaction is the design.
