Archivation
Archivation is the title of my thesis blog where I document all of my research, findings, and design interventions. Currently I define my thesis as being: “The design of new interactive modes of access for archives inspired by play.”
I wanted to visually archive my findings and share a hypothesis of mine—archives don’t last for two reasons. The first one is that they need to be used or else they fade away; so, there needs to be some sort of sweet attractor to get people to use them. The second reason is that they simply don’t last because the original artifacts deteriorate over time. Unless archives are made out of twinkies, they won’t last. The twinkie is the medium for my message.
