MobiHost
MobiHost is a system designed to help the homeless population in Los Angeles that struggle to deal with a multitude of mental health issues confronting them daily.
One of these is the feeling of isolation. This common feeling develops from a stigma of fear people have towards the homeless. Many homeless citizens also exhibit a distrust towards the rest of society. MobiHost seeks to break down this stigma of fear people have towards the homeless using an interactive system aimed at connecting people who want to help and are unsure of how with those in need by establishing adult to adult relationships.
An online portal allows people who want to help join the MobiHost program, while people in need can login from an existing ISA and find hosts that are offering free support related to their specific needs. An indoor and outdoor signage system helps Hosts update in real time their levels of support that they are currently offering.
