Tangible Manipulation

We all carry some sort of mobile device on our person these days. This connected networked handheld personal mobile device could be used to access an “archive cloud” and manipulate a 2-D or 3-D digital artifact on both screen and surface wherever the user is.




This was an early "hardware sketch" in which I was testing out the affordances of a mobile device controlling on screen archival content display and search.


This second early "hardware sketch" helped me think about being able to tangibly rotate or flip a page over from a digitized archival document at an archive one did not have access to.
